Jordan is an eastern state bathed by the Red Sea and the Dead Sea. It is located in a strategic position, due to its borders with Israel and the Palestinian territories of the West Bank, but also for getting there comfortably on a cruise.
The only river that we meet during the cruise in Jordan is the Jordan, historically contended with Israel, while the main port on the Red Sea is Aqaba. In Jordan there is one of the most mysterious places and visited places in the world, namely Petra, dating from 312 BC, with its characteristic of having many facades carved into the rock. After being abandoned for many centuries, its cavities became Bedouin refuges, before being revealed to the world in the early 19th century. Now it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is considered one of the seven wonders of the modern world.
