PANORAMIC TOUR OF THE MANI REGION
An extraordinary panoramic tour through the coastal villages, surrounded by splendid centuries-old groves of olive trees on the slopes of Mount Taygetus, to Areopoli, the capital of the Mani region, also known as the City of Ares.
What we will see
What we will do
- We leave the port and reach the main square of Areopoli, the region's main town, also known as the City of Ares. Here we will relax for a while at one of the typical cafés or we can wander through the paved alleys and admire the town's church.
- We then return to the coach and head for the enchanting village of Stoupa, lapped by crystal clear waters.
- When we return to the port, a photostop is a must in Kardamyli, a hidden gem of the Southern Mediterranean, nestled in the Messenian Gulf and surrounded by cypress trees, olive groves and rolling hills. Here we see the house of the British writer and traveller Sir Patrick Leigh Fermor, author of many travel stories, who became an honorary citizen of Kardamyli following his participation in the Greek resistance during the Second World War.
What you need to know
- The coach transfer takes approximately 4 hours in total.
