What we will do

We start our excursion by leaving the city of Miami and head to the Everglades National Park,a subtropical swamp area famous for its natural beauty and abundance of wild animals.

We get on an airboat, a typical vessel with an aircraft-type propeller, that enables us to spot an incredible variety of animals living in this curious part of the country.

We ride past sawgrass and mangrove forests, evocative swamp cypresses and broad leaved trees with our expert guide who helps us spot countless wild animals such as the roseate spoonbill, great blue heron, storks and little egrets, not to talk about the great attraction of the swamps: alligators and crocodiles which, here, share the same habitat.

After our tour of the swamps, we enjoy a delicious Cuban lunch to savour the unique flavours of this lively Latino community that lives just off the Florida coast.

After lunch, we get back on our coach for a sightseeing tour of Miami, the cosmopolitan capital of Florida.

We pass by the financial district with its tall skyscrapers and reach the historic bohemian district of Coconut Grove, the oldest and most elegant in the city famous for its refined restaurants, picturesque cafés and fabulous boutiques.

We continue towards the popular South Beach, a spectacular stretch of white sand, and admire the charming streets of the Art Deco District, where we find the largest concentration of Dèco buildings in the world.

Once at the Bayside Marketplace, we get on a boat to enjoy a pleasant cruise of Biscayne Bay.

The harbour of Miami, considered the cruise capital of the world, passes before our eyes as we reach Fisher Island, an exclusive location with billion-dollar villas owned by celebrities of the past and present such as Oprah Winfrey, Mel Brooks and Paul Newman.

We cruise past Star Island, an artificial island that is also home to magnificent villas with landscaped gardens and luxury pools directly overlooking the sea. We get a glimpse of Gloria Estefan’s residence and of the cottage where Elizabeth Taylor and Eddie Fisher spent their honeymoon.

We finally reach Palm Island with the spectacular mansion of Al Capone and then head back towards Bayside as we admire the enchanting Miami skyline.
