What we will do
  • We will start our day by heading towards the southern part of Lanzarote, dominated by the Timanfaya National Park, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1993 for its perfectly preserved natural heritage.
  • We will be welcomed by an evocative lunar landscape - a stretch of solidified lava created by the eruptions that took place during the XVIII and XIX centuries. Once there, we will enjoy a fun camel ride for a short stroll on the dunes.
  • We will then venture towards the heart of the reserve to reach El Islote de Hilario, where the temperature reaches 140°C at only 10 m below ground. It is the perfect occasion to witness some interesting geothermal experiments.
  • After that, we will take the "Volcano Road", a 14-km trail surrounded by scenery filled with petrified lava flows and huge craters, offering breathtaking views.
  • We will then cross the rural area of La Geria, a unique wine-producing area where vineyards grow in soil covered in volcanic ash, to reach the restaurant where we will indulge our appetites with superb local dishes.
  • In the afternoon, we will visit the northern part of the island, where we will discover another side of Lanzarote. Thanks to mild weather all year round, this part of the island is covered in lush greenery. We will be fascinated by the Jameos del Agua, a network of underground caves skilfully modified by artist César Manrique to make them accessible to visitors and where a swimming pool and a "natural" auditorium has been created, a perfect combination of art and nature.
  • César Manrique's signature can also be seen at the Mirador del Rìo, a military lookout that he restored and which offers amazing panoramic views over the La Graciosa and Montaña Clara islands.
