Description

This tour will take you past picturesque villages, aromatic orange and lemon groves, vineyards and olive trees gnarled with old-age. Arriving in Lindos, you will climb to the summit of the Acropolis to see the 4th Century BC Doric Temple of Athena Lindia, the double-winged portico, the Byzantine church and the fortifications of the Knights. From atop the Acropolis, there is a breathtaking view of St. Paul's Bay, where the Apostle is said to have landed in the year 51 AD to preach Christianity to the Rhodians. The old whitewashed houses, narrow streets and beauty of this delightful town has inspired artists and writers for many years. After visiting Lindos, there'll be time for swimming or relaxing at Vliha Beach.
