PANORAMIC TOUR OF GOTHENBURG
You begin at the Gustav Adolf Square and find out about the history of Gothenburg and the significance of the canals to Gothenburg as a trade centre. Then you continue down to the water to admire the famous Gothenburg opera house. Later you will drive west along the harbour to the cultural point Klippan. Here you will learn more about the old working quarters of Majorna and Masthugget where docks men and sailors used to live in the past with their families. When driving back to the city centre you pass through Gothenburg's most calm and green park called: Slottskogen, placed right in the middle of the district called Linnéstaden. You will also see the famous statue Poseidon made by Carl Mille rising above the famous square called Götaplatsen and overlooking the main street Avenyn with its many pubs, shops and restaurants. You will end the tour in the events district, passing by the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre, the Ice Hockey Arena Scandinavium, Sweden's most famous amusements park Liseberg and the Football Stadium Ullevi, home of the local team called the angels.
