What we will do
  • We get on a coach and go on a tour to discover Montego Bay, a lively city with a certain elegant aura due to the numerous historic residences, many Georgian, partly made of stone and partly of wood.
  • In the Ironshore area, we take in the contrast between modest middle-class dwellings and luxury homes with magnificent architecture.
  • We visit the historic church of Saint James, with its limestone walls and bell tower built in 1774.
  • As we pass by the international airport, we admire the exterior of the Rose Hall Great House, a wonderful Georgian villa with a legendary past and surrounded by immense gardens.
  • We move on to the White Witch Gold Club, offering one of the most enchanting views of the city.
  • Our next stop is the Shoppes at Rose Hall shopping centre, where we can purchase all kinds of souvenirs and duty free products, including famous Jamaican rum.
  • We drive along the Hip Strip, Montego Bay's liveliest street with a huge variety of shops, pass by Doctor’s Cave Beach, a fabulous stretch of white sand lapped by crystal-clear waters, and the Casa Blanca, one of the first hotels in Montego Bay.
  • We stop by at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville to cool down with a soft drink and continue towards our final destination: a craft market where we can indulge in some shopping of typical Jamaican souvenirs such as straw hats and bags, wooden trays, musical instruments, pearls, sculptures and carved objects.
