What we will do

Let us explore Aruba on an excursion that takes us to the California Lighthouse, Natural Bridge and Casibari Rock Formations.

After a 30 minute coach tour, we reach the California Lighthouse on the windward coast of Aruba. The stone lighthouse is named after US ship California, which sunk two years after being built in 1910. The platform overlooking the sea offers amazing views of the ocean.

Our walk continues through the arid part of the island, the natural habitat of cacti, divi-divi trees, iguanas and wild goats.

We then move on towards the lovely Baby Natural Bridge, where the relentless sea carved a bridge into the island’s coral and made the original Natural Bridge collapse. The remains of the original Natural Bridge are still visible not far away from the amazing natural pool, a natural depression surrounded by enormous rocks by the sea.

We head towards the Casibari Rock Formations, where enormous boulders form the backdrop of a wonderful panorama. They rise up randomly from the desert creating a unique scenery: just like being on the set of “2001: A Space Odyssey” or like being part of Gulliver’s Travels. The Aruba government created paths and steps among the rocks, so visitors can climb onto them to enjoy unique views.

On our way back, we have some free time in the city centre before returning to the ship.
