Koh Samui

Relax in the shade of the coconut palms, cross a stretch of sea to the backdrops of Koh Tao and the famous full moon party on Koh Phangan.

The island of Koh Samui has been inhabited since ancient times and, thanks to its lush tropical vegetation, agriculture is its main means of livelihood along with fishing and tourism.

The island was discovered by hippies in the 1960s looking for an unspoiled, isolated area. Today we can still find nearly empty beaches in the South, while in the North the more developed tourist areas are found. The central area has kept its original spirit, with a dense jungle covering the entire island reaching almost to the sea.

• Sea and pristine beaches to the South

• Nightlife and entertainment to the North

• Jungle trekking in the centre.
