Port Mahon is the gateway of Menorca. Although it only became the administrative capital in 1722, the town and its port have administered the Menorcan life for a long time. So it’s worth starting with a visit to the port. It will offer you a unique perspective on the buildings of the British arsenal, the island of Cuarantena and the surrounding buildings. Back on dry land, take a look round the fish market before visiting the Museum of Menorca. Don’t forget to try the local cheese and leave yourself some time to stroll through the old town.
